Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped by Life Care Center of Paradise Valley in Phoenix, Arizona, during the resident Christmas party on Dec. 13, 2018. They have been serving at the resident Christmas party since 2013. “It’s not what you have, it’s what you give” is the motto that the two live by.
Sue McCarthy, executive director at the facility, has a close relationship with the dynamic duo – Mrs. Claus, Angela McCarthy, 77, is her mother, and Santa, Don Klosterman, 82, is her stepfather.
“They are the most adorable, spunky and lively couple,” said McCarthy. “If you ever have the pleasure of meeting them, you would agree.”
The residents begin asking McCarthy when Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting them in October, and they await anxiously until December to see them.
“They light up so many lives with their kind words, jokes, smiles and laughter when they visit,” said McCarthy.
